f3290219ab nir: use a seperate enum for per alu floating point math control
We don't need one bit per bitsize per instruction if only one actually
matters in the end.

First step towards moving NIR in the direction of full float_controls2
only.

Also rename this from fp_fast_math, because that name implied that 0 is
the no fast math mode, while the opposite was the case.

de32f9275f treewide: add & use parent instr helpers
We add a bunch of new helpers to avoid the need to touch >parent_instr,
including the full set of:

* nir_def_is_*
* nir_def_as_*_or_null
* nir_def_as_* [assumes the right instr type]
* nir_src_is_*
* nir_src_as_*
* nir_scalar_is_*
* nir_scalar_as_*

Plus nir_def_instr() where there's no more suitable helper.

Also an existing helper is renamed to unify all the names, while we're
churning the tree:

* nir_src_as_alu_instr -> nir_src_as_alu

..and then we port the tree to use the helpers as much as possible, using
nir_def_instr() where that does not work.

Acked-by: Marek Olšák <maraeo@gmail.com>

---

To eliminate nir_def::parent_instr we need to churn the tree anyway, so I'm
taking this opportunity to clean up a lot of NIR patterns.

d9bed33c11 nir/opt_if: Both parts of logic-joined conditions can be evaluated
For cases like 'if (X && Y)', both X and Y must be true in the then
branch. Their values are unknown in the else branch. Similarly, 'if (X
|| Y)' must have both X and Y false in the else branch.

The shader-db results are pretty bad, especially on Skylake. Ouch. The
fossil-db results are good enough that they make up for it.

v2: s/alu/alu_src/ in nir_src_parent_instr(use_src) !=
&alu_src->instr. Noticed by Rhys.

3e0c9ad316 nir/opt_if: Conditionally do not propagate constants through bcsel
In some cases propagating through a bcsel may be harmful. If the bcsel

propagating through it may result in extra moves for phi instructions

Right now it tries to place reg_write instructions as far up the

ddf2aa3a4d build: avoid redefining unreachable() which is standard in C23
In the C23 standard unreachable() is now a predefined function-like
macro in <stddef.h>

See https://android.googlesource.com/platform/bionic/+/HEAD/docs/c23.md#is-now-a-predefined-function_like-macro-in

And this causes build errors when building for C23:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
In file included from ../src/util/log.h:30,
                 from ../src/util/log.c:30:
../src/util/macros.h:123:9: warning: "unreachable" redefined
  123 | #define unreachable(str)    \
      |         ^~~~~~~~~~~
In file included from ../src/util/macros.h:31:
/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-linux-gnu/14/include/stddef.h:456:9: note: this is the location of the previous definition
  456 | #define unreachable() (__builtin_unreachable ())
      |         ^~~~~~~~~~~
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

So don't redefine it with the same name, but use the name UNREACHABLE()
to also signify it's a macro.

Using a different name also makes sense because the behavior of the
macro was extending the one of __builtin_unreachable() anyway, and it
also had a different signature, accepting one argument, compared to the
standard unreachable() with no arguments.

This change improves the chances of building mesa with the C23 standard,
which for instance is the default in recent AOSP versions.

All the instances of the macro, including the definition, were updated
with the following command line:

  git grep -l '[^_]unreachable(' -- "src/**" | sort | uniq | \
  while read file; \
  do \
    sed -e 's/\([^_]\)unreachable(/\1UNREACHABLE(/g' -i "$file"; \
  done && \
  sed -e 's/#undef unreachable/#undef UNREACHABLE/g' -i src/intel/isl/isl_aux_info.c

d2e6be94ae nir: Skip opt_if_merge when next_if has block ending in a jump
Similar to commit 6cef804067 ("nir/opt_if: fix opt_if_merge when
destination branch has a jump"), we shouldn't combine if statements when
the second if-then-else has a block that ends in a jump.

This fixes a case where opt_if_merge combines

    if (cond) {
        [then-block-1]
    } else {
        [else-block-1]
    }

    if (cond) {
        [then-block-2]
    } else {
        [else-block-2]
    }

where `then-block-2` or `else-block-2` ends in a jump. The phi nodes
following the control flow will be incorrectly updated to have an input
from a block that is not a predecessor.

31b5f5a51f nir/opt_if: Simplify if's with general conditions
Dolphin ubershaders have a pattern:

   if (x && y) {
   } else {
      discard;
   }

The current code to simplify if's will bail on this pattern, since the condition
is not a comparison. However, if that check is dropped and we allow NIR to
invert this, we get:

   if (!(x && y)) {
      discard;
   } else {
   }

which is now in a form for nir_opt_conditional_discard to turn into it

   discard_if(!(x && y))

which may be substantially cheaper than the original code.

In general, I see no reason to restrict to conditionals. Assuming the backend is
clever enough to delete empty else blocks (I think most are), then this patch is
a strict win as long as inot instructions are cheaper than empty else blocks.
This matches my intuition for typical GPUs, where simple ALU instructions are
cheaper than control flow. Furthermore, it may be possible in practice for
backends to fold the inot into a richer set of instructions. For example, most
GPUs have a NAND instructions which would fold in the inot in the above code.

So just drop the check, simplify the pass, get the win.

---

Also, to avoid inflating register pressure, make sure we put the inot right
before the if. Android shader-db on is uninspiring due to terrible
coalescing decisions in the current RA. But it does fix the Dolphin smell.

4e2830c9ef nir: Clean up nir_op_is_vec() and its callers
The nir_op_is_vec() helper I added in 842338e2f0 ("nir: Add a
nir_op_is_vec helper") treats nir_op_mov as a vec even though the
semanitcs of the two are different. In retrospect, this was a mistake
as the previous three fixup commits show. This commit splits the helper
into two: nir_op_is_vec() and nir_op_is_vec_or_mov() and uses the
appropriate helper at each call site. Hopefully, this rename will
encurage any future users of these helpers to think about nir_op_mov as
separate from nir_op_vecN and we can avoid these bugs.
