470214cb82 glsl_to_nir: Use a variable's constant_value if it wasn't const-propped out.
glsl has been constant-propagating out references to ir->constant_value
(the value of a variable declared as const), but we can get rid of that
whole pass if we just have glsl-to-nir hand the constant propagating
problem off to NIR.

dccbecbef5 glsl/nir: Include early glsl-to-nir output in NIR_DEBUG=print.
These passes were missing the macros to handle debug output and extra
validation.  But also, for working on GLSL, it's nice to see the raw
output of glsl-to-nir before you move on.

f47ea3f992 glsl/nir: Use scoped_barrier for control barrier
Rather than control_barrier. This avoids the need to handle control_barrier at
all for backends that set use_scoped_barrier. This effectively matches what
spirv_to_nir emits, so Vulkan-capable compilers should be ok.

87ec94f6aa glsl: Move lower_vector_insert to GLSL-to-NIR.
We already have a nir_builder equivalent for generating this code, just
use that instead of doing it in GLSL.

No change on r300 shader-db.

fe908ffefa glsl: Implement use_scoped_barrier option for lowering memory barriers
When the option is enabled, lower memory barriers to the
unified nir_intrinsic_scoped_barrier.

The translation of the following is based on
https://www.khronos.org/registry/OpenGL/extensions/ARB/ARB_gl_spirv.txt

- memoryBarrier()
- memoryBarrierBuffer()
- memoryBarrierImage()
- memoryBarrierShared()
- groupMemoryBarrier()

Also use scoped barrier for the memory counterparts of the GLSL
(control) barrier() when the option is enabled.  The execution
part of a (control) barrier() remains using the old intrinsic.

For memoryBarrierAtomicCounter() there's no corresponding
nir_var_atomic_counter mode. Since atomic counters are lowered
to SSBOs, use the nir_var_mem_ssbo mode in the scoped barrier
instead.

0ca325cc10 glsl/nir: only set uses_sample_shading when the output is a fbfetch
Constructs like

  out vec4 fs_out;
  ....
  fs_out = vec4(...);
  if (fs_out.w < alpha_test_value)
     discard;

lead to initial nir that reads from fs_out, even though we don't actually
do a framebuffer fetch, and later nir passes will eliminate that direct
read from the output variable. As given in the commit message of 1124bee4
we are actually only interested in the framebuffer fetch, so set the
property only when an output is used for fbfetch reads.

1197030727 glsl: Use nir_type_convert instead of nir_type_conversion_op
In a future commit, nit_type_conversion_op won't be able to handle i2b
(and in a much later commit f2b), so switch many users to the fully
featured function.

In gl_nir_lower_packed_varyings, all of the type conversions are between
int32 and uint32 types.  In NIR, those are just moves, so elide them.

No shader-db or fossil-db changes on any Intel platform.

43da822312 glsl_to_nir: Fix NIR bit-size of ir_triop_bitfield_extract and ir_quadop_bitfield_insert
Previously these would return result->bit_size of 32 even though the
type might have been int16_t or uint16_t.  This prevents many assertion
failures in "glsl: Use nir_type_convert instead of
nir_type_conversion_op" on zink.

ac7f4e0942 glsl/glsl_to_nir: remove unreachable code
This hack in glsl_to_nir() to clean up after the glsl ir linker should
no longer be reachable. These type of linking opts are now done via
a nir based linker long after GLSL IR has been coverted to nir by
this pass.

f075376823 glsl: Use the same NIR path for shared mem lowering as SPIRV does.

830654b7b0 glsl/nir: Set uses_sample_shading from glsl_to_nir
We don't really want to base this on a late nir_gather_info for two
reasons:

 1) The GL spec says that any static use of a sample-qualified input,
    gl_SampleID, or gl_SamplePosition causes per-sample dispatch.  This
    means we really should gather this information before dead-code has
    a chance to delete anything.

 2) We want to be able to add nir_intrinsic_load_sample_pos intrinsics
    as part of lowering passes without causing per-sample interpolation.
    This means nir_gather_info needs to stop gathering it.

For 1, this doesn't actually get us quite there as GLSL IR may have
deleted something already.  However, it does get us closer.

need to create a custom callback for the dead variables removal

695587413b nir: Don't assert on tg4 offset range.
From the GL 4.6 spec: "If the value of any non-ignored component of the
offset vector operand is outside implementation-dependent limits, the
results of the texture lookup are undefined."  We shouldn't assertion
fail, then.

GLSL-to-NIR shouldn't be enforcing limits on TG4 offsets, since it doesn't
for non-TG4 tex_src_offset either.  Leave it up to the driver to handle
it.

Fixes a crash in a piglit test on nouveau that supplies a negative random
number up to 10,000 as the first coordinate for some reason.  Other NIR
drivers lowered TG4 explicit offsets to tex_src_offset, so they weren't
affected.

6eec8fcbfa glsl/nir: free GLSL IR right after we convert to NIR
Gives us memory back faster which is useful for pathalogical CTS
tests.

The GLSL IR was previously used after converting to NIR for things
like building the GL resource list but we have had a NIR version
for this for some time and I don't believe there are any other
use cases left for keeping the old IR hanging around this long.

956199e870 nir: s/nir_var_mem_image/nir_var_image/g
We typically use nir_var_mem_* for stuff that has an explicit byte-based
memory layout.  Images are opaque.

b8ee37472d glsl: Use nir_var_mem_image for images
We don't use it for bindless images because the uniforms in that case
just contain a bindless handle and aren't an actual image.  Bound
images, on the other hand, go in the nir_var_mem_image class.

91dc863921 mesa: Move the advanced blend bitmask to shader_info.
For drivers that don't lower advanced blend to FBFETCH, we need the
bitmask to be in the NIR shader so that it gets carried over to TGSI
successfully.

c0afb60258 nir: Set IMAGE_DIM and IMAGE_ARRAY on deref intrinsics
The rules here are the same as for texture instructions.  The bits on
the intrinsic are the ground truth and are allowed to vary from the
deref a bit as-needed.

3cc58e6470 nir: Add and use some deref mode helpers
NIR derefs currently have exactly one variable mode.  This is about to
change so we can handle OpenCL generic pointers.  In order to transition
safely, we need to audit every deref->mode check.  This commit adds a
set of helpers that provide more nuanced mode checks and converts most
of NIR to use them.

For simple cases, we add nir_deref_mode_is and nir_deref_mode_is_one_of
helpers.  These can be used in passes which don't have to bother with
generic pointers and just want to know what mode a thing is.  If the
pass ever encounters generic pointers in a way that this check would be
unsafe, it will assert-fail to alert developers that they need to think
harder about things and fix the pass.

For more complex passes which require a more nuanced understanding of
modes, we add nir_deref_mode_may_be and nir_deref_mode_must_be helpers
which accurately describe the compiler's best knowledge about the given
deref.  Unfortunately, we may not be able to exactly identify the mode
in a generic pointers scenario so we have to be very careful when we use
these.  Conversion of these passes is left to later commits.

For the case of mass lowering of a particular mode (nir_lower_explicit_io
is one good example), we add nir_deref_mode_is_in_set.  This is also
pretty assert-happy like nir_deref_mode_is but is for a set containment
comparison on deref modes where you expect the deref to either be all-in
or all-out.

0aa08ae2f6 nir: Split NIR_INTRINSIC_TYPE into separate src/dest indices
We're about to introduce conversion ops which are going to want two
different types.  We may as well just split the one we have rather than
end up with three.  There are a couple places where this is mildly
inconvenient but most of the time I find it to actually be nicer.
