Input: Made Scroll Zooming More Natural (#149) 
Linear zooming in the color picker felt a little bit off, so I made the
zooming work by taking one subtrated from e to the power of the current
zoom level divided by 100 as a velocity and clamping the "delta" value.
This makes the zoom feel a lot more natural, and easier to access the
lower range of zoom levels.

hyprpicker

A wlroots-compatible Wayland color picker that does not suck.

Usage

Launch it. Click. That's it.

Installation

Arch

sudo pacman -S hyprpicker

Manual (Building)

Install dependencies:

  • cmake
  • pkg-config
  • pango
  • cairo
  • wayland
  • wayland-protocols
  • hyprutils
  • xkbcommon

Building is done via CMake:

cmake --no-warn-unused-cli -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE:STRING=Release -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX:PATH=/usr -S . -B ./build
cmake --build ./build --config Release --target hyprpicker -j`nproc 2>/dev/null || getconf _NPROCESSORS_CONF`

Install with:

cmake --install ./build

Caveats

"Freezes" your displays when picking the color.
