present_create_notifies() creates an array of notifies but never returns them to the caller, despite them being passed individually to present_add_window_notify(). The caller proceeds with a NULL notifies array, eventually causing an OOB in present_vblank_notify() when vblank->notifies is NULL. Reported-by: Feng Ning, Innora Pte. Ltd. X Server
The X server accepts requests from client applications to create windows, which are (normally rectangular) "virtual screens" that the client program can draw into.
Windows are then composed on the actual screen by the X server (or by a separate composite manager) as directed by the window manager, which usually communicates with the user via graphical controls such as buttons and draggable titlebars and borders.
