ee269b318e platform: refactor detecting kernel features
Next we will need to detect more kernel features. First refactor the
handling of these to require less code changes and be more efficient.
A plain nm_platform_kernel_support_get() only reqiures to access an
array in the common case.

The other important change is that the function no longer requires a
NMPlatform instance. This allows us to check kernel support from
anywhere. The only thing is that we require kernel support to be
initialized before calling this function. That means, an NMPlatform
instance must have detected support before.

44ecb41593 build: don't add subdirectories to include search path but require qualified include
Keep the include paths clean and separate. We use directories to group source
files together. That makes sense (I guess), but then we should use this
grouping also when including files. Thus require to #include files with their
path relative to "src/".

Also, we build various artifacts from the "src/" tree. Instead of having
individual CFLAGS for each artifact in Makefile.am, the CFLAGS should be
unified. Previously, the CFLAGS for each artifact differ and are inconsistent
in which paths they add to the search path. Fix the inconsistency by just
don't add the paths at all.

a2c843499c all/tests: split core part out of "nm-test-utils.h"
A large part of "nm-test-utils.h" is only relevant for tests inside "src/"
directory, as they are helpers related to NetworkManager core part.

Split this part out of "nm-test-utils.h" header.

8bace23beb all: cleanup includes and let "nm-default.h" include "config.h"
- All internal source files (except "examples", which are not internal)
should include "config.h" first. As also all internal source
files should include "nm-default.h", let "config.h" be included
by "nm-default.h" and include "nm-default.h" as first in every
  source file.
We already wanted to include "nm-default.h" before other headers
because it might contains some fixes (like "nm-glib.h" compatibility)
  that is required first.

- After including "nm-default.h", we optinally allow for including the
corresponding header file for the source file at hand. The idea
is to ensure that each header file is self contained.

- Don't include "config.h" or "nm-default.h" in any header file
(except "nm-sd-adapt.h"). Public headers anyway must not include
these headers, and internal headers are never included after
"nm-default.h", as of the first previous point.

- Include all internal headers with quotes instead of angle brackets.
In practice it doesn't matter, because in our public headers we must
include other headers with angle brackets. As we use our public
headers also to compile our interal source files, effectively the
result must be the same. Still do it for consistency.

- Except for <config.h> itself. Include it with angle brackets as suggested by
  https://www.gnu.org/software/autoconf/manual/autoconf.html#Configuration-Headers

3452ee2a0e all: rename nm-glib-compat.h to nm-glib.h, use everywhere
Rather than randomly including one or more of <glib.h>,
<glib-object.h>, and <gio/gio.h> everywhere (and forgetting to include
"nm-glib-compat.h" most of the time), rename nm-glib-compat.h to
nm-glib.h, include <gio/gio.h> from there, and then change all .c
files in NM to include "nm-glib.h" rather than including the glib
headers directly.

(Public headers files still have to include the real glib headers,
since nm-glib.h isn't installed...)

Also, remove glib includes from header files that are already
including a base object header file (which must itself already include
the glib headers).

3bfb163a74 all: consistently include config.h
config.h should be included from every .c file, and it should be
included before any other include. Fix that.

(As a side effect of how I did this, this also changes us to
consistently use "config.h" rather than <config.h>. To the extent that
it matters [which is not much], quotes are more correct anyway, since
we're talking about a file in our own build tree, not a system
include.)

111603212c logging: ignore unrecognized domains on startup
If the command line or NetworkManager.conf mentions a non-existent
domain, just print a warning and ignore it. That way if you switch to
using an older NM that doesn't have that domain, it will still work.

15fd7cd75e platform: link management
Create the new nm-platform framework and implement link (or interface)
management. The nm-platform serves as the point of contact between
the rest of NetworkManager and the operating system.

There are two backends for nm-platform:

* NMFakePlatform: Fake kernel backend for testing purposes
* NMLinuxPlatform: Linux kernel backend for actual use

A comprehensive testsuite is included and will be extended with new
feature additions. To enable the Linux part of the testsuite, use
--enable-tests=root configure options and run 'make check' as root.
Use --enable-code-coverage for code coverage support.

  ./autogen.sh --enable-tests=root --enable-code-coverage
  make
  make -C src/platform check-code-coverage

Link features:

* Retrieve the list of links
* Translate between indexes and names
* Discover device type
* Add/remove dummy interfaces (for testing)
