d238ff487b ipvlan: add support to IPVLAN interface
This patch add support to IPVLAN interface. IPVLAN is a driver for a
virtual network device that can be used in container environment to
access the host network. IPVLAN exposes a single MAC address to the
external network regardless the number of IPVLAN device created inside
the host network. This means that a user can have multiple IPVLAN
devices in multiple containers and the corresponding switch reads a
single MAC address. IPVLAN driver is useful when the local switch
imposes constraints on the total number of MAC addresses that it can
manage.

5e4696a693 hsr: use HSR DBus metadata properly
The HSR DBus metadata was defined properly but not exported on the libnm
library properly. This was causing that clients were not showing the HSR
devices.

libnm: with LIBNM_CLIENT_DEBUG logging always print to default destination
With enabled assertions via LIBNM_CLIENT_DEBUG=WARN or
LIBNM_CLIENT_DEBUG=ERROR, still print the warning/error message to the
default destination, along the trace/debug messages.

For example, when you set LIBNM_CLIENT_DEBUG_FILE, then we want that
those messages end up in the file too, not only in g_log() output.

Also, g_warning() prints to stderr. If you set
LIBNM_CLIENT_DEBUG="WARN,trace,stdout", then we printed the warning to
stderr and the trace messages to stdout.

All debug messages should and up at the same place, and the g_warning()
and g_critical() messages are additional.

Also because glib's g_log() supports its own redirection and suppression
mechanism.

libnm: refactor levels for LIBNM_CLIENT_DEBUG
Previously, it was odd. The enum values like NML_DBUS_LOG_LEVEL_DEBUG were
actually the bit mask of all the levels "debug", "warn" and "error".

On the other hand, when parsing _nml_dbus_log_level, that variable only contained
the flags that were exactly requested. E.g. when setting LIBNM_CLIENT_DEBUG=trace,
then _nml_dbus_log_level only contained the trace flag 0x02. That was useful,
because with "LIBNM_CLIENT_DEBUG=warn,trace" the "warn" flag was not redundant,
it was used to enable printing via g_warning(). That was confusing.

Now, "LIBNM_CLIENT_DEBUG=warn,trace" is the same as "LIBNM_CLIENT_DEBUG=trace".
To enable printing via g_warning(), use "LIBNM_CLIENT_DEBUG=WARN,trace".

With this, we don't need this backward representation of the flags. Invert
it. The level enums are now just single bits.

libnm: rework and document LIBNM_CLIENT_DEBUG
Document LIBNM_CLIENT_DEBUG under nm_utils_print().

Also, add an alias "warn" for "warning" flag.

Also, no longer special treat "error" and "warning" flags to indicate
printing via g_criticial()/g_warning(). Previously, you could get
assertions via

  $ G_DEBUG=fatal-warnings LIBNM_CLIENT_DEBUG=error,warning,trace nmcli

or you could enable all messages (including <error>/<warn> level)
without assertions via

  $ G_DEBUG=fatal-warnings LIBNM_CLIENT_DEBUG=trace nmcli

However, it was not possible to enable only <error>/<warn> levels
without those assertions.

Now, "error"/"warn"/"warning" behave just like "debug"/"trace" to enable
message up to the specified level. It only implies printing to stderr
(or stdout or file, depending on "stdout" flag and
LIBNM_CLIENT_DEBUG_FILE).

Now, to enable redirect to g_warning()/g_error() use the new keywords
"ERROR"/"WARN"/"WARNING".

For testing, we probably want to enable such assertions. So to be
mostly backward compatible, we can run with

  $ G_DEBUG=fatal-warnings LIBNM_CLIENT_DEBUG=error,warning,WARN nmcli

with that, the "error","warning" flags are redundant on newer libnm and
the WARN is ignored on older libnm.

all: use nm_strv_contains() instead of nm_strv_find_first() for membership check
nm_strv_find_first() is useful (and used) to find the first index (if
any). I can thus also used to check for membership.

However, we also have nm_strv_contains(), which seems better for
readability, when we check for membership. Use it.

libnm: support LIBNM_CLIENT_DEBUG_FILE to print debug logging to file
With LIBNM_CLIENT_DEBUG we get debug logging for libnm, either to stdout
or to stderr.

"test-client.py" runs nmcli as a unit test. It thereby catches stdout
and stderr. That means, LIBNM_CLIENT_DEBUG would break the tests.

Now honor the LIBNM_CLIENT_DEBUG_FILE environment variable to specify a
file to which the debug logs get written. The pattern "%p" is replaced
by the process id.

As before, nm_utils_print(0, ...) also honors this environment variable
and uses the same logging destination.

support loopback interface
Support managing the loopback interface through NM as the users want to
set the proper mtu for loopback interface when forwarding the packets.
Additionally, the IP addresses, DNS, route and routing rules are also
allowed to configure for the loopback connection profiles.

glib-aux: swap arguments for nm_array_find_bsearch()
Have "len" before "elem_size". That is consistent with g_qsort_with_data()
and bsearch(), and is also what I would expect.

Note that the previous commit just renamed the function. If a user
of the new, changed API gets backported to an older branch, we will
get a compilation error and note that the arguments need to be adjusted.

glib-aux: rename nm_utils_array_find_binary_search() to nm_array_bsearch()
The "nm_utils_" prefix is just too verbose. Drop it.
Also, Posix has a bsearch function. As this function
is similar, rename it.

Note that currently the arguments are provided in differnt
order from bsearch(). That will be partly addressed next.
That is the main reason for the rename. The next commit
will swap the arguments, so do a rename first to get a compilation
error when backporting a patch that uses the changed API.

libnm: move dependency to libnm-crypto out of libnm-core's "nm-utils.c"
libnm-core is also used by the daemon, thus currently dragging in
libnm-crypto there. But could we ever drop that dependency?

One use of the libnm-crypto is in functions like nm_utils_file_is_certificate()
in "nm-utils.h". These are part of the public API of libnm.

But this is not used by the daemon. Move it to "libnm-client-core"
to be closer to where it's actually used.

As we have unit tests in "libnm-core-impl/tests" that test this function,
those unit tests also would need to move to "libnm-client-impl".
Instead, add the actual implementation of these function to "libnm-crypto"
and test it there.

This patch moves forward declarations from public header "nm-utils.h" to
"nm-client.h". Arguably, "nm-client.h" is not a great name, but we don't
have a general purpose header in "libnm-client-public", so use this.
Note that libnm users can only include <NetworkManager.h> and including
individual files is not supported (and even prevented). Thus moving
the declarations won't break any users.

615221a99c format: reformat source tree with clang-format 13.0
We use clang-format for automatic formatting of our source files.
Since clang-format is actively maintained software, the actual
formatting depends on the used version of clang-format. That is
unfortunate and painful, but really unavoidable unless clang-format
would be strictly bug-compatible.

So the version that we must use is from the current Fedora release, which
is also tested by our gitlab-ci. Previously, we were using Fedora 34 with
clang-tools-extra-12.0.1-1.fc34.x86_64.

As Fedora 35 comes along, we need to update our formatting as Fedora 35
comes with version "13.0.0~rc1-1.fc35".
An alternative would be to freeze on version 12, but that has different
problems (like, it's cumbersome to rebuild clang 12 on Fedora 35 and it
would be cumbersome for our developers which are on Fedora 35 to use a
clang that they cannot easily install).

The (differently painful) solution is to reformat from time to time, as we
switch to a new Fedora (and thus clang) version.
Usually we would expect that such a reformatting brings minor changes.
But this time, the changes are huge. That is mentioned in the release
notes [1] as

all: unify and rename strv helper API
Naming is important, because the name of a thing should give you a good
idea what it does. Also, to find a thing, it needs a good name in the
first place. But naming is also hard.

Historically, some strv helper API was named as nm_utils_strv_*(),
and some API had a leading underscore (as it is internal API).

This was all inconsistent. Do some renaming and try to unify things.

We get rid of the leading underscore if this is just a regular
(internal) helper. But not for example from _nm_strv_find_first(),
because that is the implementation of nm_strv_find_first().

Note that no names are swapped and none of the new names existed
previously. That means, all the new names are really new, which
simplifies to find errors due to this larger refactoring. E.g. if
you backport a patch from after this change to an old branch, you'll
get a compiler error and notice that something is missing.

libnm: use nm_ascii_is_ctrl_or_del() in nm_utils_fixup_product_string() to preserve UTF-8
On architectures where "char" is signed, the check "ch < ' '" is also
TRUE for characters greater than 127 (that is, UTF-8 characters).

Let's preserve valid UTF-8 characters and don't clear them.

Also note that already before we filtered out invalid UTF-8 sequences,
so if we encounter here a character > 127, it is part of a valid UTF-8
sequence.

libnm: fix clearing parentheses in nm_utils_fixup_product_string()
Previously, once in_parent was TRUE it was never reset, thus the
remainder of the string was cleared. That was most likely not intended.

If the intent really was to clear all the remainder, then the code could
have simply truncated the string at the first '('.

all: split "range" variant of nm_utils_ptrarray_find_binary_search()
nm_utils_ptrarray_find_binary_search() had two additional output
arguments: the first and last index -- in case the sorted list contains
duplicates.

That's nice, and was used in the past. But now, those output arguments
are no longer used.

So drop them from nm_utils_ptrarray_find_binary_search().

Actually, we could now also drop the previous variant
nm_utils_ptrarray_find_binary_search_range(), as it's only used by unit
tests. However, although not rocket science, getting this right is not
entirely trivial, so lets keep the code in case we need it again.
