b7911bae51 core: better order the code at startup
NM was calling nm_bus_manager_start_service() to claim its bus name
before it exported any of its objects, but this didn't matter under
dbus-glib, because no client connections would be accepted until the
main loop was started later on, by which point we would have exported
everything.

But with gdbus, method calls are initially received in the gdbus
worker thread, which means that clients would be able to connect right
away and then be told that the expected interfaces don't exist.

So move the nm_bus_manager_start_service() call to occur after
creating NMSettings and NMManager (and, indirectly, NMAgentManager).
This requires splitting out the slow parts of nm_settings_new() into a
new nm_settings_start(), so that we can create and export it first,
and then read the connections, etc afterward. (Likewise, there were
still a few potentially-slow bits in nm_manager_new() which are now
moved into nm_manager_start().)

6fcc1deee0 core: add an NMExportedObject base class
Add NMExportedObject, make it the base class of all D-Bus-exported
types, and move the nm-properties-changed-signal logic into it. (Also,
make NMSettings use the same properties-changed code as everything
else, which it was not previously doing, presumably for historical
reasons).

(This is mostly just shuffling code around at this point, but
NMExportedObject will be more important in the gdbus port, since
gdbus-codegen doesn't do a very good job of supporting objects that
export multiple interfaces [as each NMDevice subclass does, for
example], so we will need more glue/helper code in NMExportedObject
then.)

3452ee2a0e all: rename nm-glib-compat.h to nm-glib.h, use everywhere
Rather than randomly including one or more of <glib.h>,
<glib-object.h>, and <gio/gio.h> everywhere (and forgetting to include
"nm-glib-compat.h" most of the time), rename nm-glib-compat.h to
nm-glib.h, include <gio/gio.h> from there, and then change all .c
files in NM to include "nm-glib.h" rather than including the glib
headers directly.

(Public headers files still have to include the real glib headers,
since nm-glib.h isn't installed...)

Also, remove glib includes from header files that are already
including a base object header file (which must itself already include
the glib headers).

b067ca7034 core: allow connections to participate in NMManager:startup-complete
Add an NMSettingsConnection:ready property, which indicates if the
connection is ready to use. Add NMSettings:startup-complete, which is
TRUE when all connections are ready. Make NMManager:startup-complete
take NMSettings:startup-complete into account.

b28f6526c2 core: fill in nm-types.h, clean out other headers
Clean up some of the cross-includes between headers (which made it so
that, eg, if you included NetworkManagerUtils.h in a test program, you
would need to build the test with -I$(top_srcdir)/src/platform, and if
you included nm-device.h you'd need $(POLKIT_CFLAGS)) by moving all
GObject struct definitions for src/ and src/settings/ into nm-types.h
(which already existed to solve the NMDevice/NMActRequest circular
references).

Update various .c files to explicitly include the headers they used to
get implicitly, and remove some now-unnecessary -I options from
Makefiles.

3d30ff01ef core: remove useless NMSettings::connections-loaded signal
NMSettings (and NMConnectionProvider) had a signal to indicate when it
had loaded the connections, but in reality this always happened before
nm_settings_new() returned (as a side effect of calling
unmanaged_specs_changed()) and so no one else would ever actually see
the signal. So just kill it.

befa9083e8 core: fuzzier matching of generated connections to persistent ones
When generating a connection, if the device has no non-link-local IPv6
address, then it's unclear whether (a) the connection was link-local
originally, or (b) the connection was 'auto' but IPv6 failed or timed
out.

In this case, if there is a persistent connection that is 'auto' but
the generated connection is 'link-local', the persistent connection
should be used.

Add a more-testable framework for doing the connection matching to
handle this.

6a75c9b8e8 core: allow default wired connections to stay up when quitting
Previously, the default wired connection was removed on quit when the
device was cleaned up. This is inconsistent with other connections.
Leave the default wired connection up when quitting to fix this
inconsistency.

This allows default wired connections to be assumed when NM starts.

8a79fb1d41 settings: implement ability to add connections without saving them to disk
We don't always want to immediately write new connections to disk, to
facilitate "runtime" or "temporary" connections where an interface's
runtime config isn't backed by on-disk config. Also, just because
an interface's configuration is changed doesn't necessarily mean
that new configuration should be written to disk either.

Add D-Bus methods for adding new connections and for updating existing
connections that don't immediately save the connection to disk.

Also add infrastructure to indicate to plugins that the new connection
shouldn't be immediately saved if the connection was added with the
new method.

69b767bbf0 core: connections failed due to missing secrets are re-tried when an secret agent registers (rh #706204)
Use case:
A user has an auto-activatable connection with secrets in a keyring. While
booting NM starts and tries to activate the connection, but it fails because of
missing secrets. Then the user logs in, but the connection is marked as invalid
and is not tried again.

This commit solves the issue by removing invalid flag and activating the
connection when a secret agent registers.
